HINDSIGHT

I see her face,

In flashes of pain and confusion.

It saddens me.

A broken sisterhood of sorts, tho

before then we’d never met.

I told too much. In hindsight.

She wanted to know but not.

I needed to purge my demons.

Give them to her to give back to him.

It doesn’t work that way.

Now we all carry them.

But there is a blessin’ in every lesson.

I found out all I needed I have at home.

She doesn’t need what she has at home.

Eyes wide open. Yet, she stays.

It saddens me.

That she lives that way.

In pain and confusion.

In hindsight.

Too much came from me.
