COWGIRL UP

Jeans hung low, hips swaying to her own beat.

Her belt buckle, once shiny, now tarnished with wear.

Her hat, angled ragged across her brow,

shades her eyes from passer byes.

She rarely goes unnoticed and misses nothing.

Her shirt tied up and contouring from humidity.

The word ‘Dangerous’ across her chest. Subtly warning.

The sun reflecting light off of the gem in her navel.

Adding a delicate touch to a tough demeanor.

Tan skin covered in bruises and scrapes.

Make no mistake, she won’t break.

She can take a good bucking, and if she gets thrown.

She will land with her boots running.

Because you can’t keep a Cowgirl down.

Not for long.

Unless you find a way into her heart.

Anyone can love her from afar, but she won’t love easy.

When she finds one thought worthy.

She’ll give 100% like she does everything else.

Her body can take a beating. A broken heart still beats.

Black and blue. Another bruise to heal.

So when she’s played- when her pride shatters.

She’ll lay low til she finds her good n pissed.

If you’re the cause, she’ll be relentless.

It would be wise to saddle up quick and ride away.

Before she Cowgirls Up.
